Tips to Make Your Peony Season Last Longer: For that Perfect Organic Home Decor Element

We love adding organic elements to our home decor and this is the perfect season to use blooms from the garden. Peonies are one of my absolute favorites! 

Sharing a few tips to making peony season last longer:

✅ Snip flowers at different stages for use now and later! Peonies that are open or starting to bloom are perfect for displaying now. If they feel like a “firm marshmallow” - they are great for saving!
✅ Remove excess leaves + smaller buds to ensure as much energy remains in the main bloom. Wrap smaller blooms ( the one’s that feel like firm marshmallows) in paper towels + bags and refrigerate. They can last up to several months! Just pull them out when you’re ready for some fresh blooms.
✅ Clip the stems at an angle for nice fresh cut before arranging them.
✅ Pro tip: Don’t forget to stop and smell the flowers!
✅ Display in your favorite vessel (bonus points for quirky or vintage) and appreciate the looks + smells all summer ☀️
