Nostalgia Loading…

We are so excited to be able to participate once again at the Dayton’s Holiday Market, and since we had so much fun creating the window last year, we knew we really had to bring it this year!

We wanted to create an inviting, cozy, and playful vibe and the first thing that came to mind were those times when the family got together during the holidays to see the newest blockbuster, and that classic commercial for the theater concessions came on.

Once inspiration struck, we were off to the races. We needed the theater staple - popcorn! Specifically, a giant popcorn box, giant popcorn, and a giant popcorn garland. Charlie got to work putting these together with spray foam, foam board, and plastic ornaments! We had so much fun bringing this to life.

Once we had our - quote, unquote - centerpiece, the next process was to bring in elements that spoke to our theme of ‘Holiday at the Movies’, so we incorporated some very cool, vintage theatre chairs, our favorite aluminum Christmas tree, film reel canisters, and the epitome of nostalgia - a classic popcorn machine.

And what is a movie theater without a screen? We set up a tv to broadcast the pièce de résistance - our playful homage to ‘Let’s All Go to the Lobby’. We had so much fun creating this with an amazing graphic designer Anju (she has no socials 🤯 ) and are so excited for you all to see it. Now showing at Dayton’s Market in Downtown Minneapolis🍿🎥

Pop by (see what we did there) and visit us along with SO many amazing and local vendors this holiday season.
